About Edmund
- What kind of experience do you have?
I am a highly experienced conductor and keyboard player, currently a 2016/17 Young Artist Repetiteur at the National Opera Studio, a Park Lane Group 2016/17 Young Artist, and conductor of the Central London Orchestra.
Previously I was Assistant Conductor Fellow at The Guildhall School, Choir Director & Organist at All Saints', Woodford Wells, Musical Director of The Arcadian Singers and Oxford University Sinfonietta, Studio Director at New Chamber Opera, Organ Scholar at Hertford College, Oxford, and Conducting Scholar with Schola Cantorum of Oxford. I have worked as a repetiteur on many productions with New Chamber Opera, Opera Studio Oxford, Grimeborn Festival, Opera Settecento, Yorke Trust Coastal Opera and The Guildhall School, and conducted productions at New Chamber Opera and Tete-a-tete festival. I have a hundreds of hours of experience teaching both children and adults of all levels.

I am a patient, professional and thorough tutor coming from a wide ranging background of musical experience. I have worked professionally in the fields of opera, choral music, orchestral music, and jazz, and am highly-qualified in academic music.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I give practical tuition on keyboard instruments (Piano, Harpsichord, Organ), Conducting, as well as classical vocal coaching. I am well-equipped to offer private tuition for public examinations in these disciplines, and also for GCSE, A-Level and Bachelor-level Music, particularly for exam preparation, coursework and essay writing.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
Graduated 2014 BA Hons (First Class) in Music, Hertford College, Oxford University; 2015 MMus Opera Repetiteur (Distinction), Guildhall School of Music & Drama. I achieved a Level 3 in my Blue Tutors tutor assessment.
- How much do you charge?
I charge a basic rate of £50 per hour.
- Where do you teach?
I do most of my work in Islington, City and Wandsworth, and am willing to travel within London.
- When are you available?
I am flexible, and able to teach on evenings and weekends throughout the year, according to your requirements.

I teach all ages and all levels. I am able to offer interview preparation for university applicants.
