About Isabella
I have a degree from Cambridge in Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic with Latin being one of the languages I studied at degree level. I have studied the language since year 9 and received an A in my Latin A-Level (with full marks in my AS language paper) and an A* at GCSE.
I have 2 years of tutoring experience with both beginner and intermediate level students. My students also choose to learn Latin for a variety of reasons, either for an exam or simply as a hobby. One of my students studying Latin for her GCSEs has recently achieved a 7.
I am willing to adapt my lesson plans and teaching focus to your individual needs.

My teaching method is grammar heavy and involves a lot of practice translations to give the student as much experience as possible. I am happy to teach beginners through to A-Level. A typical lesson will involve around 20 minutes of grammar and 40 minutes of translation and parsing.
I also offer Old English and Old Norse language lessons for anybody who might be interested in learning.

Perfect! A very positive first lesson. Isabella had really taken on board the particular needs of our daughter and took plenty of time building a great rapport. She has also come up with a focussed plan for how to organise sessions leading up to thd GCSE. Our daughter is looking forward to her next lesson.
