About Lyman

Holding a BA in Economics from the University of Washington often surprises people who expect dry theory instead of practical application. My 6 years of classroom teaching and private tutoring help me strip away the unnecessary noise found in standard textbooks. I focus on CONCEPTUAL CLARITY over rote memorization because that is how information actually sticks.

Students learn to handle GAME THEORY BASICS, COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS, and complex market structures without feeling overwhelmed by the math. My approach ensures that you gain real confidence by connecting the dots between macroeconomics, microeconomics, and supply and demand. I support students in developing a rigorous essay structure while explaining the nuances of inflation, unemployment, and market efficiency. Expect a direct, no-nonsense style that prioritizes logical intuition above everything else.

About the lesson

You will start by breaking down a specific model until the underlying intuition clicks into place. This is where my 6 years of experience turns abstract concepts into simple, usable frameworks.

We analyze behavioural economics and supply fluctuations through direct, interactive problem solving. My BA from the University of Washington provides the backbone for every single interaction we have during our time together.
