About Isla

My fascination with economics began when I observed markets, policies, and the impact of financial decisions on society. I earned a Bachelor’s in Economics and have 8 years of teaching experience. I focus on clarity, practical examples, and interactive guidance to ensure learners grasp concepts effectively and build confidence in applying their knowledge.

I emphasise real-world connections and active participation. Lessons include discussion, problem-solving exercises, and case studies to make abstract ideas tangible and meaningful. I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and explore multiple perspectives.

Outside teaching, I follow current economic trends, read policy analysis, and review case studies to enrich my lessons. Teaching economics is rewarding because I watch students develop analytical thinking, practical understanding, and confidence. Helping learners connect theory to real-world application, think independently, and make informed decisions is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

About the lesson

Economics becomes engaging when students can connect theoretical concepts to practical situations.
