About Daphne
My interest in economics developed from curiosity about how choices shape markets and societies. This led me to complete a B.A. in Economics followed by an M.Sc. in Applied Economics, where I gained strong analytical and policy-focused training. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped learners build clarity and confidence in economic reasoning.
I believe economics should be taught through discussion and real-world relevance. My teaching approach emphasizes understanding relationships rather than memorizing definitions. I create a supportive space where learners feel encouraged to think critically.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with economic research, global trends, and policy discussions. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I see learners develop informed perspectives and confidence in understanding complex systems.

Economics becomes meaningful when learners understand how theory explains real-world choices, markets, and policies. My lessons focus on helping students connect economic concepts to everyday decisions made by individuals, businesses, and governments. I guide learners through microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, elasticity, market structures, and basic policy analysis using clear explanations and relatable examples. Concepts are introduced gradually to ensure clarity before moving into deeper analysis.
Lessons are adapted to each learner’s level and academic goals. Beginners focus on foundational concepts, graphs, and terminology with supportive guidance. Intermediate learners explore cost structures, consumer behavior, national income accounting, and basic macroeconomic models. Advanced learners work on policy evaluation, economic reasoning, exam writing, and data interpretation. Regular discussion and applied examples help reinforce understanding.
Economics lessons also build critical thinking, logical reasoning, and awareness of global systems. As learners gain clarity, they become more confident discussing economic issues. My goal is to help students understand economics as a practical, insightful subject that sharpens decision-making skills.
