About Rashmi

I am an MA in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, and a Bangalore-based journalist, writer, and mentor with over two decades of professional experience in research, analysis, and communication. I hold a BA in Economics, Statistics, and Political Science from Karnataka University, Dharwad, where I was a Gold Medalist and a National Merit Scholar during my undergraduate years. Alongside my academic background, I have worked extensively as a journalist and editor, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and logically. I have teaching experience at both postgraduate and school levels, having worked as a visiting faculty, private tutor, and mentor. I believe good teaching is not about rushing through the syllabus, but about helping students truly understand concepts, gain confidence, and score well. I am professional, punctual, and committed to providing a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach and Methodology: I believe that a strong understanding of concepts is far more important than rote learning, especially in subjects like Economics, Statistics, and Social Science. My approach as a teacher is to help students understand the logic behind ideas, so that learning becomes meaningful, long-lasting, and confidence-building. Teaching Techniques and Methods: I begin each topic by explaining the basic idea and context, often using real-life examples, current events, or simple analogies. I break down complex concepts—such as graphs, data interpretation, or economic theories—into small, easy-to-follow steps. I encourage students to ask questions freely and ensure that doubts are addressed patiently. For exam-oriented classes, I focus on NCERT alignment, key terms, definitions, diagrams, and answer-writing techniques.
