About Sadie
My passion for economics developed from curiosity about how individual choices and government policies shape societies and opportunities. This led me to pursue an M.A. in Economics, where I gained strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of economic systems. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students in developing clarity, confidence, and independent thinking. I believe economics should be taught as a practical and relevant subject. I focus on discussion, real-world examples, and structured explanation to make concepts meaningful. I create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and expressing ideas openly. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with economics through policy analysis and global economic reading. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I see students gain confidence in understanding complex systems and making thoughtful judgments about the world around them.

Economics becomes engaging when learners understand how theories explain real-world behavior, markets, and public policy. My lessons focus on microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, market structures, national income, inflation, and economic policy tools. I emphasize cause-and-effect reasoning so students can analyze issues critically instead of memorizing isolated concepts. Lessons are structured according to the learner’s academic level. Beginners explore scarcity, opportunity cost, and basic market interactions using everyday examples. Intermediate learners examine economic indicators, fiscal and monetary policy, and data interpretation. Advanced learners work on case studies, evaluation questions, and exam-focused analytical writing. Each lesson includes discussion, applied questions, and guided feedback. Economics lessons also strengthen critical thinking and informed decision-making skills. Students learn to interpret information carefully, assess consequences, and understand broader economic systems. My goal is to help learners feel confident applying economic reasoning both academically and in real-life decision-making.
