About Eleanor
My name is Eleanor, and I am originally from Hertfordshire, UK. As a dedicated and passionate tutor with over 3-4 years of experience, I am currently pursuing an economics degree. My fascination with economics began during my GCSEs, and I continued to explore it further at A-Level. I was inspired to become a tutor by my own experience with a tutor who transformed my understanding of a subject I initially disliked.
It was when I was approached to tutor younger students at my school that I discovered my love for teaching. I later joined a tutoring company in London, and I find it most rewarding to pass on my knowledge and witness the moment when a previously unclear concept "clicks" in a student's mind.
Outside of my academic pursuits and tutoring, I enjoy playing lacrosse and skiing.

Online tutoring service specialising in Economics (GCSE and A-Level), Biology (GCSE), Chemistry (GCSE), and Maths and English for ages 6+. I have 3-4 years of tutoring experience, primarily using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. I offer one-to-one sessions and also offer group lessons for younger learners. In-person sessions are also available in Brighton, UK.
Before starting lessons, I meet with students and parents to gather information on learning preferences and areas of struggle. For younger students, we conduct assessments such as reading tests, comprehension exercises, spelling tests, and short maths tests to gauge their current level. I focus on making sessions enjoyable and rewarding, adapting each lesson to ensure students learn and have fun.
I use a wide range of past papers and learning materials for all age groups and subjects, assessing student progress through topic-based past paper practice. To keep lessons engaging, I incorporate fun educational games and rewards. I offer exam preparation across all age groups and provide homework assistance as requested by parents.
To ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, I secure online meeting rooms with passwords and encourage open communication with parents.
I am currently pursuing an economics degree, and have firsthand experience with the subjects that I tutor.
To keep parents in the loop I provide weekly progress reports to parents.
I also offer discounted trial sessions to help families find the perfect fit.
