Piano lessons are one on one, at Ryan's studio on Rochester's east side, in your home anywhere in Monroe County, or online. Beginners from age 5 learn to read both clefs, build good hand position and technique, and play real pieces within the first weeks. Intermediate students work on scales and arpeggios, classical and popular repertoire, chords and lead sheets, playing by ear, and an introduction to jazz and gospel voicings.
Adults are always welcome, including players who quit as kids and want to come back. Every student gets a plan from the first month and clear goals each week. Parents are welcome to sit in. The first consultation is free, and if the first lesson isn't a fit, you don't pay for it.
