About Jeevan
I’m a professional Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute) teacher with a Master’s degree in Music from IIT (BHU), specializing in Bansuri, and I am UGC-NET qualified in Music.
I have been teaching music and Bansuri for 9+ years, both in person and online, and have taught students from different countries and backgrounds.
Whether you are a complete beginner, want to learn Indian classical music, play beautiful Bollywood and devotional melodies, improve your flute technique, or explore Bansuri for meditation and relaxation, I can help you learn step by step.
My lessons are personalized to your level, goals, and pace. You don't need any previous experience — I will guide you from the basics, including how to hold the flute, produce a clean sound, control your breath, play notes and melodies, and gradually develop your musical skills.
I believe learning an instrument should be enjoyable, practical, and motivating. My goal is not just to teach you notes, but to help you genuinely enjoy playing the Bansuri.
I offer online lessons for students worldwide, and your first lesson is free so we can get to know each other and see if my teaching style is right for you.

My approach combines the traditional Indian Bansuri learning system with a clear, practical, and personalized teaching style.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player, I tailor each lesson to your level, musical interests, and goals. You will learn step by step, with a strong focus on building a solid foundation rather than simply memorizing notes.
In our lessons, we can work on:
Proper flute technique and posture
Producing a clear, beautiful Bansuri tone
Breath control and stability
Learning notes, scales, and melodies
Understanding and playing Indian ragas
Improvisation and musical expression
Bollywood, devotional, and other melodies you enjoy
Developing confidence and musicality
My goal is to help you understand why and how the music works, so that over time you can play independently and express yourself through the Bansuri.
Every lesson is relaxed, supportive, and adapted to your pace. You don't need any previous musical experience to get started.

Your first 30-minute lesson is completely FREE, so you can experience my teaching style, discuss your goals, and decide whether the lessons are right for you — with no commitment.
After the trial lesson, regular lessons are $25/hour.
Lessons are conducted online, and I welcome students from anywhere in the world.
