About Bethany
I taught in Portugal for 2 years prior to teaching in Swindon working in nursery, reception and year 1. I specialise in phonics teaching and have a qualification in leading literacy. I have trained others to teach phonics and have a passion for ensuring every child can read. I will adapt my approach to support the learning done in school.

I have 10 years' experience as a qualified teacher specialising in supporting children learning how to read to support foundational learning skills. I specialise in work with 3-8 year olds but also have worked with children in KS2 who cannot yet read. I can tailor the length of the lesson to the age of the child and can use games to help children feel like they are having fun while learning.
