Myteaching approach is designed to be vibrant, interactive, and developmentally appropriate for early years pupils. As an early childhood educator, I understand that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, sensory engagement, and meaningful social interaction. I therefore structure each online session around the principles of play-based learning, which is at the heart of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and other developmentally appropriate frameworks.
To make teaching and learning interesting and enjoyable, I integrate songs, games, and playful activities that promote not only academic development but also social-emotional and physical growth.
Play-based tasks are at the center of my lesson planning. I design activities that allow children to explore concepts through imagination and creativity — such as role-play scenarios, storytelling with props or puppets, and open-ended art and construction activities. These experiences support language development, critical thinking, and help children make sense of the world around them.
In addition, I aim to create a warm, inclusive, and joyful online environment where each child feels seen, heard, and valued. I actively encourage participation by inviting children to share their thoughts, respond to questions, or show their work, which promotes confidence and a love for learning. By blending structure with flexibility and academic goals with playful exploration, I ensure that my lessons are not only educational but truly child-centered.
Through this approach, children remain motivated, curious, and engaged, laying a strong foundation for both school readiness and lifelong learning.
