About Olivia
I am an eager guitar tutor with 2 years of experience teaching students new to the instrument. I have successfully guided around 90 students, helping them build a solid foundation in guitar technique and musical understanding. My teaching philosophy is centered on integrity, understanding, and problem-solving, ensuring that every student receives honest feedback and personalized support throughout their learning journey. I take time to understand each student's individual pace and challenges, whether they are struggling with chord transitions or strumming rhythm, and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. My aim is to help every student build confidence and enjoy their earliest steps into guitar playing.

My teaching method for Guitar, Music Theory, and Beginner Technique focuses on creating a strong and honest foundation for students just starting their musical journey, even in the earlier stages of my tutoring career.
Integrity shapes how I teach every lesson, since I give honest feedback about a student's playing, pointing out both strengths and areas that need work, so they get a true sense of their progress.
Understanding is central to how I connect with students, since learning guitar can feel challenging at first, especially with chord transitions and finger strength, so I take time to understand each student's comfort level.
Problem-solving is something I focus on when students face specific difficulties, whether holding chords correctly, strumming rhythm, or reading tabs, breaking challenges into smaller steps.
Lessons begin with proper hand posture, basic chords, and simple strumming patterns, followed by easy songs to build muscle memory, along with early music theory basics.
As students grow more comfortable, I gradually add more challenging chords and begin simple rhythm exercises to build timing.
I customize each lesson to match student goals, whether learning for fun or building a foundation for future advanced study. My aim is an honest, understanding, and encouraging space for every beginner guitarist.
