About Kayla
With 12 years of experience as a Guitar tutor, I have had the opportunity to teach around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults who want to explore the world of music through guitar.
My teaching philosophy is centred on simplicity, consistency, and enjoyment. I believe that when students enjoy the learning process, they naturally become more motivated to practise and improve.
In my classes, I focus on developing a strong musical foundation. Students learn basic chords, rhythm techniques, strumming patterns, finger exercises, and simple music theory that help them understand how music works.
I always try to make lessons interesting and practical. Instead of only focusing on theory, I encourage students to play songs and apply what they learn during each session. This helps them see real progress and stay excited about learning guitar.
Teaching more than 300 students has given me valuable experience in understanding different learning styles. Some students learn quickly through practice, while others need more step-by-step guidance. I make sure my lessons match each student's pace and comfort level.
Many of my students have grown confident enough to perform at school programmes, college events, and personal gatherings, which is a wonderful achievement for them.
My goal as a tutor is to help students not only learn guitar but also develop confidence, discipline, and a love for music that lasts for many years.

My teaching approach focuses on balancing technical Guitar skills with musical creativity. Through clear communication and adaptable teaching methods, I guide students based on their learning style and musical interests.
Students first learn the essential techniques such as chords, scales, rhythm patterns, strumming methods, and finger exercises. These skills help build a strong technical base.
To make learning more engaging, I use real-life musical examples and case studies from different songs. This helps students understand how Guitar techniques are applied in real music.
In addition to Guitar lessons, I introduce related subjects such as music theory basics, ear training, rhythm exercises, improvisation, and songwriting. These subjects strengthen the student’s overall musical understanding.
My aim is to help students develop both skill and creativity so they can enjoy expressing themselves through the Guitar.
