About Oliver
I am an Undergraduate Economics student at Durham University offering Economics tutoring sessions for pupils up to A-Level. I achieved an A* in Economics at both A-Level and GCSE, whilst also placing 3rd in Northern Ireland at A-Level. I feel that this experience, combined with my knowledge from my degree at Durham, places me in a great position to further the knowledge of students.
Outside of academia, I have coached rowing to school students of similar ages to those I aim to tutor. This involved clear communication of complex technical processes to these students with the aim of developing correct technique. This process resulted in two national titles in as many years with the group and I feel that the communication skills developed from this experience will be invaluable to the tutoring process.

I approach each topic by breaking it down into its key parts and explaining each step in detail which ensures understanding, as well as meaning that each topic can be worked through at the student's individual pace. I find this method is especially useful for A-Level and GCSE Economics as many of the topics follow a logical sequence of progression.
My lessons will be flexible and suited to the exact needs of the student encompassing explanations of topics, approaching past paper questions and feedback on work. Regular progress updates will be given to students as well as parents if required. I am extremely flexible on timing so I am more than happy to work around the needs of each individual student.
I am comfortable in covering content from all UK exam boards.
