About Kirstin
My name is Kirstin Maise. I have a deep passion for drama and the performing arts. I have experience performing on stage and in front of the camera. When I perform all my worries fade away. I would like to cultivate this love for the arts in the students that I tutor.
I have an Undergraduate degree with distinction Drama from the University of KwaZulu-Natal as well as certificates with distinction in Musical Theatre, Acting and Mime from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
I believe that Drama has a healing component which is why I am a Masters student in Drama Therapy. I enjoy working with young people and they can relate to me. Simultaneously, I assure a professional and conducive space for learning and growing.

As a Drama Therapy graduate, I consider not only the academic but the psychological needs of each student. I am able to teach in English and communicate in Afrikaans. My lessons are aimed at students from grade 4 to grade 12. Beginner and intermediate learning level.
A typical lesson will cover:
-Vocal and physical warmup
-Theoretical material from the school curriculum
-An improvisation exercise
-Rehearsal of practical material which will be assessed
-Feedback
