About Monica
I am a writer and a journalist from Madrid, Spain. I am currently studying a masters in Fantasy Literature in the UK, on my way to a PhD in Immersive Literature. I have been teaching both English and Spanish for years now, as a job on the side while working on my writing, and, as far as I know, all my students have been pretty comfortable with me and their improvement on the language I was teaching them.

I usually teach people who have a pretty good control of the language already and want to develop more plasticity in their speech, getting to know the quirks and expressions that will make you sound like a native, as well as working on their speaking and vocabulary.
I think having fun is essential, and I use a lot of media resources such as movies, tv shows, music, books...
The important thing is to train your 'Spanish imagination', and help you develop a distinctive personality in Spanish. Because the language you speak shapes your thought, and affects the way you communicate and express yourself, therefore you are to become someone different when you're learning a new language. And getting to know this new 'you' is always a thrilling adventure.
