About Paula
Pedaling technique, chord voicing, sight transposition, music theory, and ear training form the core of my teaching practice. I focus on building strong technical skills while helping students understand how each element contributes to expressive and confident playing.
My musical journey began with a public recital at the age of 9 and eventually led to 13 years of teaching experience. Having performed across the West Coast, I bring practical performance insights into each lesson and help students approach challenging pieces with greater confidence.
Most importantly, I want every student to develop their own musical voice. We work through technical areas at a comfortable pace, creating a focused and supportive studio environment where students can explore their creativity and enjoy making music.

Clarity defines musical expression. This approach bridges theory and performance for students at Grade 3 level and beyond.
Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure consistent growth throughout the term. Sight transposition exercises keep the mind sharp during performance. Most students find the integration of theory with technical drills incredibly satisfying.
