About Xin Yi
My name is Toh Xin Yi, and I have been playing the Dizi since 2015. My passion for traditional music was cultivated during my time with the Muar Chung Hwa High School Chinese Orchestra, where I eventually served as the Dizi Section Principal. I want to teach because I believe in the importance of preserving this beautiful cultural heritage. I hope to share my 8 years of experience with fellow Malaysians, making traditional music accessible, fun, and meaningful for a new generation of players.
