About Melanie

I am a retired Head of English and now a published author. Aside from teaching in secondary school, I have experience working with undergraduate students to improve their Higher Education academic writing. I have a track record of helping students secure First Class dissertations and/or securing an overall First Class degree.

About the lesson

Students would be guided through making sure they are sticking to the brief/format that their dissertation needs to take. Areas of weak argument(s) will be identified and strategies/solutions for rewrite given. Suggestions for reordering points will also be highlighted. Attention to detail will be given in terms of grammatical correctness and clarity of sentence structure(s). Good luck.

Melanie was a great support in helping to structure and better organise my undergrad dissertation. She gave positive, constructive critique, which helped strengthen and present my argument. The outcome was a First class degree. Thank you for your help Melanie.
I would highly recommend her input!
