About Liane

I am a Psychology BSc student at the University of Warwick with a strong interest in clinical psychology and mental health. I am passionate about making psychological concepts easy to understand and helping students build both confidence and strong academic skills.

Alongside my studies, I have gained experience through a clinical psychology internship where I observed therapy sessions and engaged with psychological case discussions. I have also been involved in mentoring and educational support roles, where I helped students with academic guidance, study techniques, and university applications.

I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, structured explanations and supporting others in a calm, encouraging way. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop genuine understanding and confidence in the subject.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. I focus on breaking down complex psychological concepts into simple, understandable parts using real-life examples, active recall, and discussion-based learning. I also encourage students to engage critically with the material rather than just memorising content, so they develop deeper understanding and exam confidence.

My teaching methodology combines clear explanations, guided practice questions, and regular recap of key theories and studies. I often use visual aids, summaries, and essay planning frameworks to help students improve both knowledge and exam technique.

A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and workload.

In terms of qualifications and experience, I am currently a Psychology BSc student at the University of Warwick and have hands-on experience through clinical psychology internship exposure, mentoring students through educational programmes, and supporting peers with academic content. This has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain psychological concepts in an accessible way.
