About Clayton
Hi, I'm Clayton — a Toowoomba local with a Diploma of Information Technology and passionate about helping everyday people feel confident and capable with technology.
I know how intimidating computers can feel when you're just starting out. Whether you've never touched a keyboard, you're trying to get more comfortable with your phone or laptop, or you just want to stop feeling lost every time something goes wrong — I can help. My approach is patient, practical and completely judgment-free. We go at your pace, and we focus on the things that actually matter to you.
What I can help you with:
— Using Windows and everyday computer basics
— Email, internet browsing and staying safe online
— Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
— Setting up and managing files and folders
— Video calls (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime)
— Smartphone and tablet basics
— Understanding cybersecurity and how to protect yourself online
— Social media basics (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
A bit about my background — I hold a Diploma of Information Technology, with completed units in cybersecurity, operating systems, virtual machines, technical documentation and ICT governance. Before studying IT, I spent several years in management roles across disability employment services, hospitality and digital marketing, so I have a strong background in explaining things clearly to people from all walks of life.
I offer one-on-one lessons in person in Toowoomba or online, so location is no barrier. Lessons are fully tailored to what you want to learn — no scripts, no rush, just straightforward help that builds your confidence step by step.
