About Harlow
I am a devoted piano tutor with 3 years of experience teaching beginner and early-stage students. I have successfully guided around 115 students, helping them build a solid first foundation in piano technique and music theory. My teaching philosophy is centered on clarity, patience, and encouragement, ensuring every student learns at a comfortable, steady pace. I explain each concept in simple terms so students understand not just what to do but why it matters. My aim is to help every student build confidence and enjoy their earliest steps into piano playing.

My teaching method for Piano, Music Theory, and Rhythm Training focuses on giving beginner and early stage students a clear, steady path into piano, even with a few years of experience guiding learners so far.
Clarity is central to how I teach, since I break piano concepts into small, manageable steps, from hand posture to note reading, so students never feel rushed.
Patience shapes every session, since coordinating both hands and reading music takes time to develop, so I allow extra practice for areas that feel difficult.
Encouragement stays present throughout, since recognizing small wins early on builds the confidence students need to keep practicing consistently.
Lessons start with hand posture and finger exercises, move into note reading and simple rhythm patterns, and gradually introduce music theory basics such as scales and chords.
As students grow more confident, I add basic sight reading and ear training exercises, along with simple performance preparation for those interested.
I adjust my teaching to match each student's personal goals, whether learning for fun or building a foundation for future study. My aim is a clear, patient, and encouraging space for every beginner pianist.
