About Kahinee
I am a passionate and committed flute tutor with 11 years of experience and around 150 students successfully trained. I specialise in guiding students through a step-by-step learning process that builds both technical mastery and musical confidence. My teaching focuses on breath control, tone quality, articulation techniques, finger coordination, and rhythm precision.
I gradually introduce advanced repertoire and expressive elements as students gain control over the basics. I customise each lesson to match individual goals, whether for performances, examinations, or personal development. One of my key strengths is creating a calm, respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable improving at their own pace.
I encourage discipline, consistency, and self-confidence in every learner. My mission is to shape skilled, expressive, and dedicated flute musicians who continue to grow with passion and commitment.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises confidence, technical precision, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I focus on ensuring students develop both skill and musicality in a supportive environment.
I begin with fundamentals including posture, breath control, embouchure, tone clarity, and finger coordination. Once these basics are solid, I introduce scales, articulation exercises, rhythm drills, and expressive playing techniques. Students gradually develop musical interpretation, phrasing, and stylistic expression.
I also teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm understanding. This ensures students develop comprehensive musicianship alongside practical flute skills.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s pace and objectives, whether preparing for examinations, performances, or personal enrichment. Collaboration is encouraged through repertoire selection and feedback discussions.
I maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to practise consistently and overcome challenges. My goal is to cultivate confident, disciplined, and expressive flute players.
