About Jules
What do you want to be when you grow up? Happy, that’s the right answer. You are going to study plenty of topics throughout your entire life, and the right attitude will make the worst ones tolerable and the best ones life-changing.
When I was in school, I studied everything under the sun, from acting and computing to video game development and philosophy to applied science to film as well as music and anthropology. Now I study design at university. I wasn’t always good at everything, but I did develop a broad skillset that I hope to pass on to you.
I’m Jules, and as well as directly helping your studies, I hope I can help you find your mojo and build confidence in your learning, yourself, and your future. And if you struggle with your English/essay skills, public speaking, or materialising and finishing your creative projects, I can definitely help you there.

I believe that learning is holistic and any topic can be learned with passion when framed in the right way. I can teach your child to locate what they find interesting about a subject and then understand it’s contexts and relationship to other disciplines. I am interested in developing a child’s language skills, speaking and confidence abilities, research and presentation skills, and lateral thinking. A typical lesson may look like taking a piece of art/media/literature etc. and analysing it, mapping its qualities and elements, researching those, and then producing a piece of work using a technique or idea extracted from the focal work. However this is one example and any session can be designed according to your and the child’s needs. Straightforward help with coursework and homework is of course available too.
A lesson or workshop can range from 30 minutes to two hours, and can focus on single session goals or a longer term project. I have experience in learning and engagement with young children, teenagers, and elderly groups. I am hoping to consolidate my experience into a tutoring practice.
