About Marta
I have a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology and a Masters in Medicine and Molecular Oncology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. I am currently doing my PhD in oncology in Barcelona. I am a very relaxed and approachable person but also demanding and committed to my work.

I try to approach the subject in a structured way, relating the concepts to each other and adapting the class to each student. From experience I know that the ability to understand a concept and be able to visualize the knowledge brings better results than memorizing the material. With the experience of giving private lessons and supervising several students in the laboratory context, I learned the importance of explaining new concepts building on top of well-present ones, so in my classes I tend to go back as often as necessary to convey a new concept and cement the knowledge. My classes are aimed at any secondary or higher education student (degree) who needs support in the area of science.
