About Dori
"Working with teens and home-studio owners often reveals how much everyone doubts their own creative intuition. It is a quiet confession, but I spent years figuring out that songwriting is a craft you build through constant practice.
Having taught 136 students, I have seen how people navigate the jump from idea to song. I am a self-taught producer who leaned into writing over chords early on.
My degree is rooted in 9 years of independent releases and 6 years of coaching. Beginners and intermediate producers often find my approach helpful because I keep things focused on structure.
We look at chord progressions and genre conventions like pop or country. I enjoy seeing students develop their own motifs and themes. You learn to handle harmony basics while writing memorable choruses."

"Hearing the rough sketch of an idea come alive with a defined structure feels like watching a puzzle click into place. My approach to pacing involves keeping the momentum high while providing constant feedback on your melody and storytelling. During our sessions, we walk through how a verse, chorus, and bridge function within the context of your specific genre. I draw on my 6 years of coaching to show you how to build a stronger emotional arc in your lyrics.
We explore how to weave motifs throughout your work to make your songs stand out to listeners. You will find that writing over chords becomes second nature as we experiment with different progressions. This process makes the act of building a full song feel remarkably fun and rewarding."
