About Scarlett
I am a piano tutor with over 6 years of experience helping students turn their love for music into real playing skills. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music, which trained me to listen carefully and play musically with others. My background allows me to teach not only notes, but also musical understanding. I work with students from Beginner to Advanced levels. I also enjoy mentoring students who aim for Mastery.
Every lesson I teach is personalised and goal-oriented. Some students want to play favourite songs, while others want deeper theory knowledge. I specialise in pop piano arranging and modern chord voicings. I also teach how to play by ear, a skill many learners find exciting. You will learn to recognise patterns in popular music.
I teach styles including pop, rock, R&B, and contemporary worship. My teaching style is supportive and encouraging. I keep lessons interactive and enjoyable. Students feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting. Let’s begin learning together and discover your musical creativity in popular music.

My teaching method is based on training the ear along with the hands. I believe a pianist should understand sound, not just press keys. In my lessons we practise hearing melodies and finding them on the keyboard. Students learn to identify chords and rhythm patterns by listening carefully. I teach how to recognise major, minor, and common chord progressions in songs.
We also work on playing songs without sheet music. I guide students to break music into patterns they can understand. I include exercises for relative pitch and early perfect pitch development. You will learn to hear intervals and match them quickly on the piano. This helps both performers and music creators.
I also support students who arrange or produce music digitally. They learn to recognise harmony faster and make better musical decisions. My lessons fit Beginners to Advanced levels. My goal is simple: help you trust your ears and become a natural musician.
