About Tanmay
Outside of martial arts, I work in Tech Consulting and did my MBAN (Master of Business Analytics) at UBC. It's not directly related to kickboxing, but breaking things down clearly and explaining them well is something I use every day at work — and it carries over into how I coach too.
I've been into martial arts since I was a kid, so this has always been part of who I am. But what really got me into teaching was my cousin. I started training him casually, and watching him grow wasn't just about his kickboxing improving — his confidence and personality changed too. Hearing him talk about how much he loved it made me realize two things: how much I enjoy seeing someone progress, and how much I enjoy passing on what I know.
That's what I bring to every student — genuine investment in your growth, not just your form.
One more thing: I ride motorcycles, so if that's your thing too, you've got a training buddy who'll happily talk bikes as much as kickboxing.

I'm a Black Belt in Taekwondo with national and state-level medals from India, and 10+ years of practice — now specializing in Kickboxing, with 2 years of Muay Thai experience alongside it.
My lessons are beginner-friendly and paced entirely around you. If you need to go slower, we go slower — there's no rush and no judgment. We'll start with the basics: stance, footwork and positioning, punches 1 through 8, and foundational kicks, all built up through easy, doable warm-ups that keep you engaged without overwhelming you.
As you get comfortable, complexity and combos increase — but only progressively, one layer at a time, never before you're ready. This steady build is what drives real, consistent growth rather than a quick plateau.
My goal is simple: you leave every session having learned real technique and feeling fitter than when you walked in. Past clients can vouch for both the results and the experience — I focus on building confidence as much as skill.
