About Eva

Hola! I offer online lessons at primary, secondary, university level and beyond! I have 20+ years teaching experience, including teaching Spanish to university students in Spain and the US, as well as in primary and secondary schools in London. My most recent online experience includes tutoring Y11/Y12 students preparing for their GCSEs and A-Levels. I have experience teaching for the following exam boards: AQA FT/HT, Edexcel FT/HT, IBDP SL/HL, DELE exams.

About the lesson

No matter what your interest in taking Spanish lessons may be (specific examinations, grow your business, open up opportunities, writing, speaking, accent reduction, etc.), I will help you develop your skills, stretch your potential, and contribute to your success. I will use evidence from your feedback to plan effectively and challenge you appropriately. It is important for me to build an excellent rapport with students so they can feel relaxed, motivated, and free to ask me about any gap or doubt they may have to be able to address those gaps in skills or knowledge. Repetition helps retention, so don’t be afraid to ask!

Our sessions will be designed for you specifically, based on my initial consultation which will help me set clear goals and find the best possible way to support you develop your confidence and skills.

I go above and beyond to teach with passion, commitment and excellence while creating a safe learning environment. I am a very patient and positive person, highly organised and I have in-depth knowledge of my subject. I will not only ensure you are making good progress, but also help you become a more efficient learner. I love teaching and I love thinking about best ways to learn languages.

By tailoring the content of each lesson to the needs of each student I make sure their confidence and motivation are boosted while using authentic materials from the real world (podcasts, films, articles, books, songs, documentaries, etc.) and other resources connected to the learning goals of each session.

If your aim is to improve your grades, I will work towards the exam board specifications you need to follow, check your current ability and strengths, plus the areas where you feel you are struggling in, how you learn best, and we will also talk about your expectations of tuition. Once I have gathered all this information, I can tailor my approach to support your own style of learning to make the most of our online sessions. I like to give students a brief piece of work to do during the week so they can reflect on and retain the information we went through during the previous session, but of course that is optional since it depends on the number of responsibilities each student has.
