My journey began when I took my firstmusic theory class at UC Davis because I so desperately wanted to know how composers made/thought of melodies? Was it intuitive? Is it something you have to be born with? Can I do it?
Taking that class was one of the best decisions I have ever made and the structure of the class - from learning the basics of theory to seeing how the principles are applied in real songs - was the most exciting!
I want to encourage anyone who is even remotely interested in making melodies but doesn't quite know where to start, and enable them to unlock their potential!
