About Shaswat

I’m a Data Science professional with a background in Computer Science, Python, SQL and programming. At the moment, I’m also working on my own startup, an AI-based platform that I’m building around students and their everyday learning and problem-solving needs.

The idea comes from something I strongly believe in: students need more than just a place to find answers. They need a place where they can ask questions without hesitation, work through problems, learn from real situations and feel comfortable saying, “I don't understand this.”

That is also the approach I bring into my tutoring. I don't want to simply teach a chapter and move on. I want to understand how a student thinks, identify where they are getting stuck and help them develop the ability to find solutions independently.

Tutoring is also a way for me to work directly with students, learn from their experiences and understand the problems students actually face. In return, I get to share the knowledge and practical experience I've gained through Computer Science and Data Science.

For me, the most rewarding part is seeing a student go from needing an explanation to being able to solve a problem and explain the concept themselves. That is the kind of learning I want to encourage.

About the lesson

Computer Science becomes much easier when you understand the logic behind it instead of simply memorising code.

My classes are designed to build strong fundamentals first and then turn that understanding into practical problem-solving skills. I don't believe in rushing through the syllabus just to complete it. Every class includes dedicated revision and practice so that older concepts don't get forgotten as we move forward.

I also use situation-based questions inspired by problems I have encountered through my own experience. Instead of always giving students a question with an obvious method, I might give them a situation and ask: “This happened—what would you do?” They have to think through the problem, decide what information they need, and come up with their own solution. The goal is to develop the mindset of a programmer: understand the problem first, then find a way to solve it.

Most importantly, I want students to reach a point where they can teach the topic themselves. I strongly believe in the saying, “If you can't teach it, you don't truly know it.” So after learning a concept, students are encouraged to explain it back in their own words, justify their approach and solve problems independently.

My goal isn't just to help students score marks. It is to make them understand what they are doing, think logically and become confident enough to solve unfamiliar problems on their own.
