About Daniel
My name is Daniel , I am 25 years old and I am from Congo. I came to South Africa to do my tertiary education in bachelor of engineering and while I was here I had to teach myself English . I Am someone who love asking questions in class , even the ones that seem obvious but that is how I learnt the language as well as well as learning more about my degree . I believe that asking questions, even random questions, can better my understanding. That is why, I allow and encourage my students not to be shy to ask me questions because learning is a journey where both the student and I can continue to learn and grow even beyond what the curriculum offers. I believe I am a good listener, a good communicator, want to be able to help and to make someone else’s life easier when moving abroad .

In my degree I did not have the opportunity of having a tutor , when I first came to South Africa my English was not that great but I found ways to learn and understand the language. I would have loved the help of someone that understands my language too to be able to learn English faster . I have always had the passion to help and motivate those that came before me which is why I believe I will be a good tutor . I expect students to be curious , ask questions and not settle for just the answer given in front of them. I enjoy cases where I am able to explain the depths . Finally, I believe I am a good listener, and I don’t like rushing through things when it comes to learning and making sure the student has learnt the work . With that in mind, I firmly believe I would be the tutor I always wanted to have to you; that is, patient, compassionate, a good listener, flexible, and motivated to give his best during every session.
