About Apeksha
As a Dance Movement Therapist and experienced dance instructor, I bring a unique, holistic approach to teaching Bollywood and Semi-Classical Indian dance. My background in Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) allows me to create classes that go beyond just choreography—they become a space for self-expression, confidence-building, and emotional well-being. With years of experience working with diverse groups, including children, adults, and individuals with different abilities, I tailor each session to be inclusive, engaging, and empowering. I believe that dance is for everyone, and my approach to teaching focuses on making learning enjoyable, engaging, and accessible to all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner discovering the joy of movement, an intermediate dancer refining technique, or an advanced performer preparing for an event, my classes are designed to bring out your best.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
My classes combine foundational training, rhythm awareness, expressive movements, and choreography. I break down steps in a simple, structured way, ensuring that students build confidence while learning. Sessions incorporate~
Step-by-step choreography for Bollywood and Semi-Classical routines
Rhythm and musicality training to enhance expression and grace
Posture and hand gestures (Mudras) for authentic Semi-Classical movements
Performance preparation for occasions, weddings, and cultural events
Class Duration & Format:
Each class typically runs for 60 minutes, blending warm-ups, technique drills, and full dance sequences. I offer both in-person and online classes, making it easy for students to join from anywhere.

With a strong background in Dance Movement Therapy and years of experience in both performance and teaching, I bring a unique approach to Bollywood and Semi-Classical dance.
