About Hannah

I am a professional dance artist and experienced dance tutor specialising in contemporary, jazz, samba, hip hop and ballet.

I have 15 years of industry experience, in both performance work and teaching.
I also have 8 years experience teaching dance to people with disabilities.

I trained at London Studio Centre and received the Award for Achievement in
Contemporary Dance upon graduation. Here I trained a wide variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lindy hop, salsa, and street among others! Whilst training, I was selected to represent England at the Tap World Championships as part of dance company Tap Attack.

Shortly after graduating, I traveled the world and discovered my love of Latin dance; upon
returning to England, I joined Contemporary Latin dance company, Element Arts. I was later
asked to take over as Director and continue in this role).
Having discovered my love for South America, I moved to Argentina for a year in 2015,
where I danced the role of Fate in Carmen. During my time in Buenos Aires, I discovered
Chinese pole, an incredibly exciting circus art. I also perform capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian
martial art, and won Gold in the iniciantes category at the 2018 European Championships.

Back in the UK, I was accepted into all-female hip-hop collective, Myself UK
and with them danced for the Olivier Awards, Nike, Breakin
Convention at Sadler's Wells, Peacock Theatre and others.

My other performance credits include Wembley Stadium, BAFTA, New Wimbledon Theatre, Hunter Boots, London Fashion Week, Hotel Chocolat, Manoto TV and more.

I now combine my passion for movement and the arts with my desire to create positive change. I founded my own company to promote arts events to inspire positive progress. My work has been supported by the Arts Council, Wandsworth Grant Fund, Harrow Arts Centre and Bermondsey Square Community Fund.

About the lesson

Classes are tailored to your individual aims, be that exams, fitness or fun! I love getting people to achieve their goals and will put you at ease during training. My teaching style is friendly and full of good energy!

Classes will be planed according to your individual preferences. They usually follow the structure of a warm up, some exercises to further your understanding of the chosen style, followed by a short choreography to finish.

I aim to develop both your technique and confidence in dance! One of my students recently thanked me at the end of class, saying "you make us feel proud of ourselves" - this is my goal for you too!

Details

Travel costs will depend on location of class - you will pay the exact return journey fare, which I will quote before class confirmation. For a journey time of over 45 minutes (each way), an additional costs of £15/hr will be applied.

An additional charge for studio hire will be applied, if you wish for your class to take place in a studio.

Prices are for one student, more students carry an additional charge.

Please note that I do not offer a free trial lesson (there is some issue with turning this option off on my profile).
