About Elena
The dance teachers I had in my life always inspired me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of, and I hope I can do that for others. I hope to take my passion for movement creation and health and wellness and transfer it to my students, to help them succeed in any stage of life. I hope to empower them to follow their passions!

If you are looking for patient and encouraging instruction in moving your body then look no further! I am a dancer with 20 years of experience and 5 years of teaching experience. I have received a degree in dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and I am a certified yoga instructor through Lila Flow Yoga. The styles I have experience instructing are ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, acrobatics, and hip hop. I have instructed dancers from age 6 to 30 at multiple studios within the Central Jersey area and Staten Island, NY. We can begin at an absolute beginner level or if you have experience I can adjust our lessons to meet your needs. My background in dance led me to yoga instruction as a means of injury prevention and healing the body through stretching, mediation, and myofascial release/massage. I would love to help you meet your fitness and wellness goals with private yoga instruction.
