About Kira

Too many people tell me they "can’t dance" or they "wish they could dance". At a time when there’s so much choice in the dance/fitness space, deciding on a specific class or style can feel overwhelming, and sometimes intimidating. I want to strip everything back to basics and explore what that journey could look like for you.

With a good grounding in variety of Commercial styles and regular training in top London studios, I’m constantly seeking to refine my own technique, hone my artistic expression, delve deeper into each genre and make movement to music more accessible.

About the lesson

My classes are all about bringing it back to basics and enjoying the benefits they bring. I can give you the tools to start, restart or evolve your dance journey, and tap in to something deeper than surface level movement :

- Drilling grooves and technique conditions the body and mind.
- Understanding musicality develops rhythm.
- Retaining choreography helps with memory and cognition.
- Working on performance dramatically increases confidence and boosts serotonin levels.

During a 1 or 1.5 hour lesson I take you through:

- Thorough warm-up focused on grooves, conditioning and stretches.
- Short choreography based on your preferred style, and anything specifically you would like to work on.
- Thorough cool-down – breathing and stretches.
- Brief recap on takeaways from the session.

I dance across a range of different styles including Hip Hop, Heels, Contemporary and Jazz, with my choreographies focusing on a fusion of these styles. I have a previous background in Irish dance spanning 10 years where I competed at advanced levels and performed on stage. This has given me a good grounding in musicality, footwork, and conditioning, which I have taken through to more commercial styles in my later years.

I teach beginners of all ages and backgrounds including but not limited to : 1 - 1 private tuition, small groups, corporate workshops.
