About Karen
I am a certified English Teacher at Luis Amigo Catholic University from Medellin, Colombia. Through my teaching experience, I've come to understand that while the structural aspects of language are important, confidence in speaking plays a pivotal role in effective communication. This realization has reshaped my approach to teaching, emphasizing the cultivation of confidence alongside language proficiency.
I am passionate about empowering my students to communicate effectively in English, equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in diverse linguistic environments. My goal is to foster an environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves freely and confidently, enabling them to thrive in their language learning journey.

As an experienced English teacher specializing in private classes, currently based in the United States, I focus on unstructured conversational English to provide my students with a genuine, everyday communication experience. My goal is to help them develop confidence and fluency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, enabling them to achieve their personal goals.
From beginners to advanced students, I offer personalized instruction tailored to each student's needs and objectives.
What will you learn with me?
- Speak fluently.
- Improve your English proficiency.
- Customize classes according to your interests.
- Overcome the barrier of "understanding everything but not being able to speak it."
In addition to our regular classes, you will have access to a dedicated Google Classroom with assignments and activities that will allow you to practice outside our class sessions. You will also have a direct WhatsApp chat with me throughout the day.
I employ an unconventional teaching method that adapts to the needs of each student. Our tasks and activities are personalized for you and will provide you with learning tools, that you can apply to any language you wish to learn.
