About Lisa
I am a Master's degree-holding librarian (MLIS), Ph.D. student (Philosophy of Education in Special Education), and neurodiverse mother of four. One of my kids is on the Autism spectrum and several have other neurodiversities (ADHD, Anxiety, Compulsory issues, SPD, and others).
With my current coursework in special education (three years) and my experience in creating programs for youth and adults with neurodiversity (eight years), I am excited about working with students to help support social-emotional skills, help with reading interventions, and help to develop conversational skills for neurodiverse learners. I have experience with ASD, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, ID, and more.
Adult children are also one of my focus areas, as most library patrons I work with are neurodiverse young adults.
