About Khwezi

I obtained 3 distinctions in matric in Dramatic Arts, Math Literacy, and History. I then received above 75% for Afrikaans First Additional Language, English Home Language. I am now studying a Bachelor's of Information Science at the University of Pretoria. I am very passionate about teaching and helping a novice understand something they struggle with. As an academic, I also do not expect perfection but reward progress. I practice different methods of studying such as flashcards and active recall for information retention and comprehensive note-taking and summarizing for understanding. I am quite pragmatic when it comes to teaching the discipline of school work in order to enjoy the fruits of one's labor, i.e., academic success.

About the lesson

I am proficient in multiple South African languages (isiZulu, isiXhosa, Setswana, Afrikaans, and English). I tutor first by learning the retention style and learning style that best suits the child. Thereafter I can apply that methodology to any subject of concern. I encourage and try to teach students active recall as their primary tool of testing understanding versus simple regurgitation.
