About Asmita

Hello, I am Asmita from Kolkata, a 3rd-year B.Tech in Computer Science student with 3+ years of continuous experience teaching the CBSE curriculum for Computer, IT and Artificial Intelligence. I am also open to teaching Computer Science for classes 11 and 12. I have a proven track record of long-term student mentorship, including currently guiding a student through their entire journey from Class 8 up to their upcoming 2027 Class 10 Board exams.
My engineering background ensures I have a deep, practical command over Python programming, SQL, and core computing concepts, allowing me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps for Classes 6 to 12. Having completed my own schooling under the CBSE board, I am highly familiar with their question patterns and evaluation schemes.

I am exclusively available for 1 to 1.5-hour sessions on weekends (Saturdays & Sundays), offering structured weekly progress that fits perfectly around a student's busy weekday schedule.

About the lesson

My classes are intended for CBSE students from grade 6 to 12 and I take classes only on weekends. I follow a Concept-First, Code-Later approach tailored strictly to the CBSE marking scheme. Since classes are held once a week, every minute is structured for maximum retention.

- >Concept Explanation: Before showing practicals, I always start by explaining the why, when and how a concept is used.

-> Practical Demo : Since I will be teaching online, I try to show practically how things work (like coding via VSCode or online compilers) so students can see exactly what is happening and how the outputs will look. I also give app demos in case it is important to the syllabus. (Like showing how Orange Data Mining software works practically via screen sharing)

-> Practical and theory assessments - I will also be taking practical tests for classes 11-12 students via screen sharing where the student will have to share their screen and write the code live (I will guide them here) and theory mock tests where questions will be designed following the CBSE question pattern. (1 test after each chapter completion and mock tests before half yearly and annual examinations)

-> Monthly updates to parents - Since I meet students on weekends, I will provide a brief monthly text update to parents summarizing what syllabus chunks were covered and how the student performed in their chapter assessments.
