Hi!
I'm currently an Academic Coach at a school in Hackney, specialising in English. My role is to prep my students as extensively as possible for their exams, so I have great hands-on experience. I feel as though my real specialty is exam technique; I know how to dodge the common pitfalls in English exams and the tips and tricks that will really elevate your grades.
I'm a Literature graduate from the University of York with an extensive background in academia. At York I studied a variety of different texts, from Medieval literature to German poetry. I am passionate about teaching English: I'm sure I can persuade anyone to find it enjoyable! I have tutoring experience outside of the school environment and have had fantastic results with my students. I always strive to encourage a genuine interest in the texts we are studying. I offer a tailored approach to every subject: I can recognise potential in every student and work alongside them to bring that out. I have great working relationships with every student I have tutored and a personable, positive approach.
