About Shanna
I started playing piano since I was 4 and started the cello at the age of 6, since then, I have been training in hopes to become a professional cellist. In high school, I discovered my passion for writing music and began my journey as a composer. I am now looking forward to sharing the joy of music with more people and hope to bring a wonderful experience to my future students.

I am passionate about all aspects of music, and am interested in sharing the musical experience with students of all ages and backgrounds. As a classically trained instrumentalist and current composer, I understand the importance of holistic music training and I hope to provide my students not only performance and composition skills but also the knowledge of theory and musicianship. I can give professional and systematic education on theory and musicianship, including fixed and movable solfa, rhythm names, and more. I am able to tutor ATAR students in their ATAR music journeys, my own ATAR composition work was chosen for TOPCLASS, in Melbourne Recital Centre, Victoria. And as a new university student, I am happy to assist students with music university applications with my own experiences of applying and getting accepted at WAAPA, The University of Melbourne, and the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA). I am bilingual and am able to and happy to teach in both English and Mandarin.
