About Catherine
I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a BA in Classics, with minors in Art History, Legal Studies, and Arabic. Currently, I am an MPhil candidate at Oxford reading Islamic Art and Architecture. I spent two years teaching in the US and UK, and it is the most rewarding experience to date. I enjoy interacting with the next generation to inspire them to unleash their full potential and provide them with a conceptual toolkit so that they may succeed in all areas of their lives. My lessons are structured, yet lively and engaging, to generate maximum 'buy in' and encourage their budding confidence.

As an experienced educator in both the UK and US from grades 7 - 13, I tailor my lessons to suit the individual goals of each student in a manageable and easily digestible manner. The overall start of our tutoring sessions will begin with a reminder of the overall goal (i.e scoring a 9 on the GCSE, moving literacy levels, translating a passage of a text) followed by the lesson's objective; the lesson will end with a general overview of the topic covered to showcase mastery and a series of actionable steps to achieve success.
