About Caitlin
I'm a current 3rd year medical student at King's College London with a previous First-class degree in Business Management from The University of Edinburgh. I first applied to medicine in my last year of school successfully receiving 2 offers. However after a gap year I decided to study Business Management and after graduating I worked in corporate PR. I then decided to pursue a career change to medicine as my true passions still lay in a career as a doctor. I myself have therefore been through the medical school admissions process twice. In my first round of the admissions process I had 4/4 interviews and received 2/4 offers (from St George's University of London and The University of Liverpool). In my second round I had 4/4 interviews and received 4/4 offers (St George's University of London, The University of Glasgow, King's College London and The University of Warwick). I have extensive experience with medical school interviews and writing a personal statement for medicine. I believe the key to successfully gaining an offer for medicine is applying strategically to the right medical school for your particular exam results/UCAT score/interview strengths. I am able to advise on making the right choice of medical schools to apply to. I feel as though I have extensive knowledge and experience of the selection process that I can offer to other hopeful medical school applicants and want to help them succeed in gaining offers during what can be an extremely competitive process. I also hope to help any students with writing their personal statements for any degree subject. I have excellent written communication skills, and my time working in corporate communications was heavily focused on writing. I can help students craft a coherent, compelling and impressive personal statement for any degree subject. I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature A Level and 9A*s 1 A (8/9s) at GCSE level. I have experience tutoring students at both primary and secondary school ages. I also want to offer my tutoring services to Biology GCSE students as I believe Biology is a fascinating subject and one in which great results can be achieved if the right teaching methods are employed. Biology can seem like an overwhelming and sometimes complex subject if not taught in a simplified, digestible and effective manner.

Recommendations

Caitlin helped our daughter Aoife, write her personal statement for her application to UCAS. It was a stressful time for Aoife and Caitlin was very approachable and able to put Aoife at ease. Her guidance and support were instrumental to completing the application on time. We were very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Caitlin to provide the same service to anyone needing a personal statement for their UCAS applications
