About Brianna

Hello! I am a current Masters, Vocal Performance student at the Mannes School of Music with a graduation date expected in May of 2025. I am a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Vocal Performance where I obtained college and university honors.

I have an extensive performance experience of 12 operas, one of my most recent roles being Myrrhine in Mark Adamo's Lysistrata at the Mannes School of Music. My upcoming role is L'enfant in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortileges in Carlisle, PA at Dickinson College. One of my favorite roles has been Dorabella from Cosi fan tutte by Mozart at Carnegie Mellon University. My large range of roles has allowed me to deeply understand various composers and styles from Classical to Romantic to Modern 21st-century opera.

I have been teaching private voice lessons and started my own studio almost a year ago, with consistent student return. My teaching experience has been mostly children with some adult experience, each student being very pleased with my teaching style. Health is of the utmost importance and I will value vocal health above all. My technique training reflects this. I am mostly experience with classical, operatic voice training but am also comfortable delving into Musical Theatre.

About the lesson

Typical voice lessons include discussing goals, practice habits, and repertoire. About 15 minutes are for breathing and stretching followed by another 15 of vocal warmups. Depending on the student, sight reading and music theory practice can be included or the main focus. Then, the last 30 minutes of the lesson will include repertoire learning and technique help for various songs.

My pace is slow and I am always ready for questions. I stop to ensure a student understands what is being explained and will always ask the student how they are feeling to ensure the healthiest singing possible. Health is of the utmost importance.

Lessons range for students starting at around 12 years old to adulthood with exceptions.
