About Emily
I have been working with children ages 3-22 since 2011 and joined special education in 2018.
I have three children with special needs and ensuring their academic success is what inspired me to become a special education teacher.
I am well-versed in IDEA legislation as well as California state requirements.
I taught virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic and am well-versed in Seesaw and Google Classroom. I am innovative in my teaching practices and incorporate student interests into all academic areas in order to promote participation and progress.

The cornerstone of my teaching practice lies in building respectful collaboration with my students’ families. I have experience teaching TK-6th grade students life skills, social studies, art, math, science, and English. Since I have experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs that meet Federal requirements, I can help your student achieve their current academic goals. I am a studious and passionate worker with knowledge of teaching students with special needs and updating teaching procedures.
I am committed to mentoring students to enhance participation and increase overall success. I am outgoing and friendly with fantastic attention to detail. I am skilled at providing feedback on students' individual progress and discussing specific needs.
