About Elise
With over 12+ years of experience, I specialise in teaching singing to college students, helping them develop both technical skill and artistic expression. I focus on breath control, pitch, vocal tone, range, and performance confidence, while fostering creativity, individuality, and emotional expression.
I combine traditional techniques with interactive exercises such as vocal improvisation, recording feedback, and live song interpretation. Lessons are tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
Performance preparation is a major focus of my approach. I help students develop stage presence, expressive delivery, and confidence for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are also included to strengthen their musical understanding.
I encourage students to experiment with genres and develop their personal voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and accountability, making every lesson engaging and rewarding.

My singing teaching methodology is student-centred, structured, and motivating. Communication is key to helping students understand their voice and develop their skills. I explain vocal techniques such as breathing, pitch accuracy, tone control, and voice projection in a simple and practical way. Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace and learning style.
Creativity is emphasised in every lesson. I use expressive singing, song interpretation, and vocal exercises to help students enjoy learning and develop emotional connection with music. Students are encouraged to explore different genres and express themselves freely.
Cultural sensitivity is highly valued in my teaching. I welcome songs from diverse cultures and languages, explaining their meaning and context. This fosters respect for global music traditions and creates an inclusive learning environment.
Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines, goal setting, and continuous feedback. I carefully track progress and guide students step by step. Along with singing, I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and vocal care.
