About Matteo
I am an experienced saxophone tutor with more than 9 years of teaching college students. My aim is to make saxophone learning simple, engaging, and result-oriented. I believe that when students enjoy lessons, they practise more and improve faster. My teaching approach focuses on clarity, consistency, and encouragement.
Students learn tone development, breathing techniques, finger coordination, rhythm control, and expressive playing. I balance technical exercises with creative learning so lessons never feel boring. Improvisation and performance practice help students develop confidence and personal musical style.
I use practical music examples to explain techniques clearly. Modern learning tools such as recorded practice reviews, play-along tracks, and guided practice plans are part of my teaching. These methods help students track their progress and stay motivated.
I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to strengthen musical understanding. My lessons create a positive environment where students feel comfortable learning, improving, and expressing themselves through music.

My Saxophone teaching methodology is designed to help students learn with clarity, creativity, and responsibility. I aim to create a positive and focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Lessons begin with building strong basics such as breath support, tone production, embouchure formation, finger technique, articulation, and reading music.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation exercises, melody exploration, and learning music from different genres. I act as a mentor by motivating students, guiding them through challenges, and helping them stay consistent. I believe mentorship helps students grow both musically and personally.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how rhythm, scales, and musical structure work together. Students learn to think musically rather than memorising notes. Accountability is built through regular practice tracking, achievable targets, and performance reviews. In addition to Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, and Performance Skills to support overall musical understanding.
