About Cohen
I am an experienced piano tutor with over 7+ years of teaching students of all ages, including school children, college students, and working professionals. I believe that learning piano is a journey of both skill and creativity. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised instruction.
I assess each student’s current level, goals, and learning style, and create lessons that gradually develop strong fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading. I also introduce advanced techniques at the right stage to ensure steady progress.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to help students develop well-rounded musical skills. I use song-based learning, creative exercises, and performance practice to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.
My strength is simplifying complex concepts and helping students stay motivated, build confidence, and maintain consistent practice habits. My aim is to create a supportive, positive, and inspiring environment where students can explore music and achieve their full potential.

Creativity is encouraged in every lesson, from experimenting with improvisation to composing small pieces. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to suit individual learning speeds, interests, and styles, ensuring students remain motivated and confident.
Along with piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and sight-reading. This combination of skills ensures students are well-rounded musicians, capable of understanding and expressing music in their own style. My goal is to make learning piano an enjoyable, inspiring, and empowering experience for students of all ages.
